Scenes of Rural Landscape in Malaysia
Despite the modern development spreading across the country, Malaysia's traditional rural living is still very much alive. Even more interesting is the multitude of local culture/lifestyle typifying the different states of Malaysia as reflected in the unique architecture of the houses, the boat designs and the casual dressing especially among the women folks, not to mention the food and the parochial slangs.
Befittingly, the intricate detail, sharp contrast and textured rendering of the pen and ink medium as employed in Rashidtop's drawings effectively brings out the feel and realism of rustic subjects.
