A Fishing Village in Tanjung Lumpur

Tanjung Lumpur is a Malay fishing village located downstream of the Kuantan River and approximately 2 km south of Kuantan, the state capital of Pahang. As a fact, this village is one of the earliest villages to be established by the Malays in Kuantan. The Kuantan River runs in between Tanjung Lumpur and Kuantan before flowing out to the South China Sea. Tanjung Lumpur is connected to Kuantan via the Kuantan River Bridge.

To most Malaysian, Tanjung Lumpur is well known for its seafood and ikan bakar (grilled fish).
