Tanjung Lumpur is a Malay fishing village located at the end of the Kuantan River and approximately 2 km south of Kuantan, the state capital of Pahang. As a fact, this village is one of the earliest village to be established by the Malays in Kuantan. The Kuantan River runs in between Tanjung Lumpur and Kuantan before flowing out to the South China Sea. The village is connected to Kuantan via the Kuantan River Bridge.
To Malaysian, Tanjung Lumpur is well known for its seafood and ikan bakar (grilled fish).
